Color: Garden Lantern
A walk around my neighborhood at dusk was a contemplative time to perfectly end my busy day. I found the serene exercise soothing to the body and spirit. As the bright colors brought forth by the brightness of the sun slowly became muted and less pronounced, a subdued and subtle beauty emerged from the dwindling light. A garden lantern caught my eye in the quiet of the evening. It shone softly yet captivatingly as it drew me in for a closer look. The yellow color from the lantern, though dim in comparison to the streetlight, grew bright and bold as I moved within a few inches from where it hung. I especially enjoyed the beads of water that clung to the glass encasement, as well as the mirrored reflection of the light onto the sides of the glass - special touches to the overall imagery.
